Can I really start free? Forever?
Yes. Free Forever is the real plan — not a trial. Three seats, unlimited contacts and deals, email + calendar sync, bookings, the works. No card, no countdown. The day you outgrow it, you upgrade. Until then, it’s on the house.

When should I upgrade?
When something starts stretching Free Forever. Adding a fourth teammate? Move to Kickstart. Need another pipeline or full AI access? Kickstart is the next step. Need advanced automation, departments, teams, API access, or more custom-entity room? That’s Pro. Audit logs, panic mode, and deeper admin controls? That’s Unlimited.

Do I need a demo to sign up?
No. Smackdab is built to be picked up on a Tuesday afternoon without a sales call. If you want a guided tour, we’ll happily do one — but it isn’t a gate. Just hit "Start free" and you’re in.

Can I switch plans later? Up and down?
You can switch plans any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and we credit the unused portion of your current plan. Downgrades kick in at your next billing cycle so you don’t lose anything mid-month.

What happens when my team grows?
Add seats from Settings — they’re billed prorated to the day. No "talk to sales" wall. If you’re on Free Forever and add a fourth seat, we’ll walk you onto Kickstart automatically (and tell you exactly what changes).

What about my data if I cancel?
You own it. Export contacts, deals, activities, files and email history any time as CSV. API export is available on Pro and above. After cancellation we keep your data for 90 days so you can come back, then we delete it on request — or automatically.

Will my price suddenly go up?
Not without warning. Annual plans lock the per-seat price for the term. Monthly plans get 60 days of written notice on any price change, and your current rate stays in effect until your next renewal — so you always have time to decide.

Do I have to bundle the add-ons?
Nope. Talk & Text, Unlimited Email Marketing and Bookings Pro are all standalone. Turn them on the month you need them, off the month you don’t. They don’t change your underlying plan tier.
